Well kind of a change in course. I am now down to trying to choose between a Beretta A300 Ultra Patrol

Or A Mossberg 590R with pistol grip collapsible stock and heat shield
Price differences is not a matter. Both are made in USA both are absolutely reliable the Beretta does offer one additional round capacity, but the Mossberg comes with a collapsible pistol grip stock but other than those two minor differences there individual features are a wash I do not see any clear advantages in features or performance Mossberg VS Beretta.
The one advantage the Mossberg has I listed above VS the Beretta is I would need to spend an additional $134 to buy a pistol grip stock for the Beretta IF and that's IF after shooting it I feel a pistol grip is absolutely necessary for the A300, as I much much prefer my home defence shotgun to have a pistol grip and as a matter of fact my 870 Wingmaster set up for skeet and trap is the only shotgun I own that doesn't have a pistol grip stock.
I truly can not decide between the two. I have only ever owned and used pump shotguns, but I can not deny the quite strong attractiveness of a semi auto shotguns absolute ease of rapid firing VS having to manually cycle every shot with a pump. But I also can not ignore the simplicity of disassembling and cleaning a pump shotgun VS a semi automatic.
Any thoughts on why I should buy one over the other would be appreciated.
Felt I should add
Save for goose and duck hunting one weekend with a borrowed Remington SP10, I have almost no other experiences firing a semi automatic shotgun, no other experiences hunting with one. I have endless experiences with semi automatic CF and RF rifles, but essentially zero experiences shooting semi automatic shotguns. That is why I am asking for input on which platform to buy.
