It’s gonna be Sendero.Sounds great! How about the barrel channel? Are you doing multiple or just like a proof sendero?
The master sporter is not.The grip won’t be ambidextrous?
Youre on the right track with the MS grip, dont change to appease the people who shoot with the wrong handThe master sporter is not.
I anticipate doing the same stock but ambidextrous. I may even have them finished without the bolt handle slot so I can make them right or left. Just need to confirm numbers with the maker and costs.
The setup cost to make both should be about the same.
If demand is higher for non-master sporter, maybe we do that.

I have seen the GRS and like a lot, but the weirdness to me has never pushed me to try![]()
GRS Hunter Light - GRS Riflestocks
GRS Hunter Light stock is 25% lighter than all other GRS laminate models. A 5% scaled-down grip and length of pull make it our shortest and slimmest stock...grsriflestocks.com
Interesting that this design hasn't been mentioned yet. It's a pretty reasonable weight, laminated, vertical grip. If the butt/comb were raised a bit, and the finger ridges on the grip eliminated, this would be pretty much exactly what I would want.
Yeah they do some funky stuffI have seen the GRS and like a lot, but the weirdness to me has never pushed me to try
Similar, but I would open the whole window, and keep the toe and comb lines, except there would be the top bar that goes across and the hand goes under. So you want to make the Spike Camp into the Boyd's Quest? LOL
My 14” with OG will fit, so we are good!If that’s the case, just make sure an OG on a 16” barrel will fit with clearance.
If by “boxiness” you are referring to the flat sloping area immediately behind the tang, please tread carefully. That area on the Master Sporter/Tikka Sporter allows the shooter to rest the thumb straight pointed at the tang, rather than rolled over the grip (as shown in the photo). When the thumb is directly in line with the bore, the grip does not feel boxy at all. Here are a couple of pics that show the Master Sporter grip from Bluumoon vs another vertical grip stock that is ambidextrous.
Ours will remove the boxiness under the tang.

IMO weight be damned….
Take the cz 457 MTR stock shape, cut 2” off the bottom of the rear of the stock (so it’s like a straight BR style stock.
Instead of pissing with inlets put in an aluminum mini chassis.
Cut the barrel channel huge and let people piss and moan about it.
Ohh and just use an aics bottom metal for tikkas (Hawkins). Tikka mags are just a pain for stock makers apparently.
I talked with Bluumoon about this, and he can’t easily rest his thumb up that. My thumb wouldn’t either. If by “boxiness” you are referring to the flat sloping area immediately behind the tang, please tread carefully. Certainly, thanks for listening. I will look for pictures that I recall seeing of other shooters using the MS and my recollection is that the straight up thumb position is what they all use. I’m not sure it is magic, but that thumb position is much more comfortable for me and my hand size (large gloves). For me, laying the thumb over the grip when the cutout places the meaty portion of the hand at the base of the thumb much closer to the line of the bore than most any other stock, is awkward.I talked with Bluumoon about this, and he can’t easily rest his thumb up that. The goal is to remove the boxiness but still allow the thumb to rest in line with the bore.
Also, for hunting, I want that cleaner to easier gross motor when transitioning from bolt to grip.
Interested to hear your comments and feedback on that line of thought.
