Help LS Wild design the new stock!

Laminate is layered in the same direction, so some geometries can’t be accomplished with laminate. At the wrist, you have to have material above the datum line of the bottom of the forend. Meaning: material at the wrist above the red line in the following picture. Doesn’t have to be a ton, but at least 3/8” or 1/2”.
I would try to find a solution for that. Imo its a problem.

An adjustable butt stock option line the master sporter or KRG- adjustable for height and angle. It looks like you’ve got an adjustable comb planned as well. 14.14.5 in lop would be great.
The adjustable comb in the picture is another holdover from the AI. We’re not planning for that currently. Adjustable comb adds weight in both hardware and necessary dimensions of laminate material, and expense. The comb will be higher than a Stocky’s VG, and those for most don’t really need any added height.

No current solution. I’ve already gone over that with the manufacturer. They are experimenting with layering sheets of carbon fiber in between laminate layers, but that is still be developed, and probably a good ways out.

What if we used a Bravo-pattern recoil pad for the standard pad? Then that would at least allow guys to buy the KRG buttpad height & cant mechanism if they wanted it.

I am another fan of the Master Sporter/ current Sporter Stock. Most of the appeal for me and perhaps others, is the grip which puts the meat of the thumb in line with the bore and the top of the thumb resting at and inline with the cocking piece. By necessity this precludes an ambidextrous stock design. The Rokstock grip is a compromise which works but is not perfect for right or left handers.
Also, the Master Sporter has a comb which is adjustable both vertically and laterally. The height of the buttpad on your concept photo may obviate the need for an adjustable buttplate.

This is our desire as well, and our final design should not preclude that.

Interchangeable grip like an XRS with the possibility of some adjustment for trigger reach.

Ruger American inlet for AR15 mags.

I wanted to get that in on page one. 😁
I second the vote for AR15 mag compitability….

I'll start by saying I like classic rifle stocks. The ones the oldtime writers (O'Conner, Page, Keith, etg) called classic design. I have made around 75 rifle stocks starting when I was 20 (I am 85 now). This concept IMHO is butt ugly.
Some of mine. I didn't make many thumbholes.
Yes, we know. You’ve posted multiple times now.

Your stocks are pretty. They’re just not nearly as functional as they could be.

Maybe post a third time?

I agree with the option for plus or minus the hollow rear. Sometimes I want the weight (or some way to add weight), make the 7PRC great again! Everything grip forward replicated from the Master Sporter (except the blocky bit between on the right side at rear of action between where thumb rests and the bolt). You can trim weight on forend, but keep the lines. Your rear looks pretty good, could possibly bump up the toe line al la RS lite to cut a couple ounces. The fore end might be wide enough to have a full length recessed arca rail as an option.

I do not like a buttpad that sticks out above the rear of the stock, it catches in rifle carries and makes me want throw it off a mountain. No need for left and right cant on butt pad keep it simple. A functional AICS lower would be the jam.

This is the plan. Also, we’re trying to keep this stock’s dimensions and format to where it’ll carry similar to a sporter stock, but in function shoot like a chassis.

Waters/Redsnake/Atlasworx have bottom metals that allow AICS in standard bottom metal footprint. Just to have file open the internal mag well.

Sure, but I have to ask what weight you’re wanting?
