Thanks! Comfort was a primary goal. This makes me very happy to hear comments it’s comfortable from varied perspectives, including the ladies.Got mine last Friday and used it on 2 of the deer we got for Iowa's 2nd shotgun season. Super sharp and comfortable in the hand. My wife held it for a bit and said "ok this is really nice, I want one now." Will definitely end up order more I bet.
Love to see the Lefties. My boys are 2 and 4 but looking like neither will have the disease.Stone tools, trad archery, muzzleloaders...
Another way I like to connect to the past is child labor.View attachment 991611

I also had no animal engraving and am a lefty. My oldest is a righty and it is too soon to tell for my youngest.Love to see the Lefties. My boys are 2 and 4 but looking like neither will have the disease.
I just got mine and it came without marking like @waterengineer . I wonder if it's because I opted for no animal engraving? Or if you take the conspiracy route it's because I'm an auto engineer.
Hoping to get a sit or two yet this hear and will report back with how it performs.
I’ve been wondering the same thing for horizontal carry. What are the recommended sheath clips if a guy wanted to edc carry one of these?
Undecided.Horizontal or vertical?
Lemme get some pics of different options I have laying around.I’ve been wondering the same thing for horizontal carry.
I set one up with a clip for pocket carry and the other with a molle-lok for belt or pack. What are the recommended sheath clips if a guy wanted to edc carry one of these?

Man, that is awesome! Gives me the warm fuzzies.I read about the first half of this thread and was pretty intrigued by the design of this knife, but after seeing the price of the pre-order, I knew there was no way my wife would understand spending that much on a hunting knife (I've only ever really used a large Old Timer folding knife or outdoor edge/havalon knives), so I quit following this thread.
But lo and behold my brother got me one for Christmas! So today we went and shot a cow elk. I only used the Dixie Zipper aside from sawing off the feet below knees. We quartered it and pieced it out to pack out. I was pretty careful around bones to not give edge any unnecessary wear, but that thing sliced through everything like butter, and found myself naturally holding it different ways depending on the kind of knife work I was doing. Its very comfortable to use and the name is very fitting.

After returning home and a wash and some very light tuning on a steel, it was back to scary levels of sharp and whacking a piece of printer paper into strips only being held by the corner. Very impressive to a knife novice like myself.

I am partial to a stick style sharpener, but that looks slick. A 3” long stick style sharpener with two grits would be handy.I am working on a small simple sharpener. It is small and light.
Has 400 and 1000 grit. A leather strop would take it to absolute razor to slice paper. But, the wire edge from 1000 grit creates thousands of mini serrations to slice hide snd tissue. Takes only a couple passes to touch up the edge.
I think I have the proof of concept and am finishing design. There are different ways to grab it and putting your thumb or finger above the edge creates the angle.
