Help finalize the "Dixie Zipper" (Mini CBK) for a group buy

Got mine last Friday and used it on 2 of the deer we got for Iowa's 2nd shotgun season. Super sharp and comfortable in the hand. My wife held it for a bit and said "ok this is really nice, I want one now." Will definitely end up order more I bet.

Thanks! Comfort was a primary goal. This makes me very happy to hear comments it’s comfortable from varied perspectives, including the ladies.

Of course, it what we’d expect from a crowdsourced design from Rokslide…

Received mine the other day. Here it is next to a magnacut from Dixie that was an extra he had for sale early in the year. The Dixie knife quickly became my favorite knife ever and I can’t wait to put the official zipper to use in a couple weeks on some cow elk

Stone tools, trad archery, muzzleloaders...

Another way I like to connect to the past is child labor.View attachment 991611

Love to see the Lefties. My boys are 2 and 4 but looking like neither will have the disease.

I just got mine and it came without marking like @waterengineer . I wonder if it's because I opted for no animal engraving? Or if you take the conspiracy route it's because I'm an auto engineer.

Hoping to get a sit or two yet this hear and will report back with how it performs.

I also had no animal engraving and am a lefty. My oldest is a righty and it is too soon to tell for my youngest.

My last two planned hunts have been cancelled due to the flu. Hoping to make it out early next week.

I’ve been wondering the same thing for horizontal carry.
Lemme get some pics of different options I have laying around.

I have some simple clips and other baubles I will get up on the site.

I am excited about some small diamond sharpening stones I found out of China. Trying to find it I can have them made in the US, but it’s hard. I need to go to a knife making trade show….

What are the recommended sheath clips if a guy wanted to edc carry one of these?
I set one up with a clip for pocket carry and the other with a molle-lok for belt or pack.

Watch for the width of belt when ordering.

Something like this for vertical

Vertical “offset” so clip is centered. There are left and right versions.

For horizontal carry

For positive locking
Click latch

“C” shape rather than just a clip.

I read about the first half of this thread and was pretty intrigued by the design of this knife, but after seeing the price of the pre-order, I knew there was no way my wife would understand spending that much on a hunting knife (I've only ever really used a large Old Timer folding knife or outdoor edge/havalon knives), so I quit following this thread.

But lo and behold my brother got me one for Christmas! So today we went and shot a cow elk. I only used the Dixie Zipper aside from sawing off the feet below knees. We quartered it and pieced it out to pack out. I was pretty careful around bones to not give edge any unnecessary wear, but that thing sliced through everything like butter, and found myself naturally holding it different ways depending on the kind of knife work I was doing. Its very comfortable to use and the name is very fitting.

After returning home and a wash and some very light tuning on a steel, it was back to scary levels of sharp and whacking a piece of printer paper into strips only being held by the corner. Very impressive to a knife novice like myself.
