How do you think this will work for backstrap and tenders?
Usually for those alittle flex is nice. Not saying we need that on this knife though.
Just wondering out loud.

I can't really say, I haven't used it for that yet. I can't think of any reason that stands out for it to be worse.

I am going to try to have this knife made in .08 and .10 thickness. I want light, and don't need it for a prybar, so that's why I want .08 in the 3 inch version. And, I'll do .10 for the 3" and longer to give it more strength. I know lots of others want a stronger knife.

I loathe pre orders but I think I may have to change my tune for this. I'm not sure which looks the best but I think 3? I like the 3 1/4 length more since I've been using a 4” Cold Steel CBK. My vote would be for a simple sheath that rides in a pack. I'm never going to carry this mounted on a pack shoulder strap or my bino harness.

I’m with you on most pre-orders… they are annoying on both sides. But, it’s the best way for me to swing a big discount for those that want in and make sure I don’t short the first order and run out.

I will have some for you to buy at full price. :) I plan on carrying these.

The more I use them the more I like a thin slicey knife.

Me too.

I have come to the conclusion that purpose built skinning/gutting blades should be short, thin and slicey— my opinion of course. Years of using replaceable blades from outdoor edge, I never chipped, bent or broke one. Never saw a buddy do that either.

Makes them lighter too.

Now, my pocket knives have been bent, chipped, used as screwdrivers, prybars and generally abused.

Oh it completely makes sense and the phrase "big discount" draws my attention.

I’m with u but they really did the preorder for the annealer right and sent updates along the way. Great example of what every company should look for in the customer service department.

To get on the pass around list, please Pm me with “Dixie Pass Along” in the title. I know I have already agreed with some of you, but please send this into.

In the body, give your name, address, phone, and email so I can keep track of them and make sure the next person has the info for the chain. Your info will only be seen by the guy sending it to you and the guy receiving it from you.

If you ask, you are in.

Thanks all.

I am working that out, but definitely not MKC money. It's intended to be a working knife, so I am keeping it as inexpensive as possible.

The first pre-order will be a huge discount for Roksliders, especially the ones who have helped here.

I love all my CBK. I’m in on whatever you decide.
