We built our home in 2001 and had all Amana kitchen appliances with exception of my dishwasher which was Bosch. The dishwasher broke last year and since it was 25 years old we just decided to replace it since we were getting ready to remodel the kitchen anyway. Never had a single issue with it in 25 years. All of the Amana stuff lasted 25 years as well and just got replaced this spring when I remodeled my kitchen. We ended going with Whirlpool in the kitchen because we were able to buy factory direct at a good discount. Better than anything we could have gotten in store. We have Speed Queen for washer and dryer. Had a lot of issues with the washer which was all covered under warranty. Probably had it repaired at least half dozen times. Speed Queen ended up giving us a brand new washer since it had so many issues. I probably just got a lemon, but we do love the set. A problem with any of our previous H.E. Washers is they do not fill with enough water. They would have this huge tub and you could hardly wash much in it because the water level would be too low. The speed queen has a high water level button that will fill it up like the older washers used to do.
