Hello all! Justin Russell, from La Grande, OR and enjoy hunting anything that moves. I work for ODFW and feel pretty lucky to be able to spend every day out in the woods. Glad to see a forum based around guys/gals with a similar passion.

Welcome Justin,
What a great location to work (LaGrande) for a hunter. My daughter goes to EOU.

Born and raised in LG, great little town. Elk hunting can be tough around there (spikes/cow only) but drop into any canyon and hunt the clear cuts. My dad still lives on our ranch in Summerville. Enjoy!

Welcome to Rokslide! Was in La Grande last year doing some spring bear hunting. That's a nice area for sure.

Welcome!! I love La Grande. We grew up camping over there and bow hunting when I was young. We elk hunted the watershed in the 80' and early 90' before all the cats ran the elk out. My dad was from La Grande and My Mom is from Cove. I try to visit my Dad a couple times a year(He is planted up on the hill above town). Looking forward to seeing some great picks and stories from over there.

Welcome! I hunted in the Elkhorns last season, will be headed to Eagle Cap this year, and will be around Elgin in a few weeks for Turkey. Love hunting over there!

Welcome Justin! I grew up in Enterprise, work drew me away.
Now I can't figure out how to get back. But I go home every chance I get.
Should be over there chasing steelhead, but water is up and they're blowing through.

Elkeater, Know the Huffmans in Summerville? I was camped next to them this past elk season, watched Dave dump a nice 7x. Nice folks.

Welcome, my niece goes to school there at EOU, plays on the softball team. Visited there in 2012 and managed to have the transmission go out on a Chevy on the way there. The Chevy dealer there treated us right, and got us back on the road pretty quick. Even with that, we were able to "enjoy" the sights for two days there and make a trip up to the lake. (The one right above town and Wallowa).
