Howdy all,
I just saw the FNG page and figured I'd introduce myself. I'm Alaskan born and raised, Alaskan Native and native Alaskan. Grew up going back and forth between Barrow, AK and Fairbanks, AK where I went to school. Grew up learning to hunt from my uncles in Barrow, backpacking around central Alaska, floating rivers, etc. It's been a while since I've been actively hunting, but I just got to a position with more disposable income and disposable time to get back into the mountains and starting hunting again. Recently picked up my Browning X-Bolt 30-06 and hope to take it into the field soon. I've got my own boat, love to get out into Prince William Sound, Resurrection Bay, and Kachemak Bay chasing Alaska's ocean goodness. If you're ever on the water, give the Uisce Beatha (pronounced Ishke Baja or Whiskey Baja) a call on the radio.

Good hunting, and tight lines.

Welcome Mr Steve, I too love Prince William Sound and will be out that way this spring. Boat is called "High and Dry" don't ask me why. :)

Welcome to Rokslide.

Took me awhile to learn how to keep it in the water. :)

Stid, Haven't we all been there?! Never on the Sound, luckily for me. I have been thrown forward of the bow while cruising the Ikpikpuk River on the slope while searching for caribou. My uncle swore he knew where the sandbars were. Full speed to full stop with me standing on the cabin resulted in predictable results. Can't say it was graceful, but it was dramatic!
Here's a few from this year on Prince William Sound.
