Heavy Tripod Suggestions

I already have a lightweight tripod that I use for backpacking and long day hikes. But, it is only useful when sitting as it has stability issues when fully extended.

I need a large tripod capable of handling an 82mm scope in the standing position with rock solid stability. This will be my truck/ short hike tripod, so weight is not an issue.

Smooth pan head is a requirement and would like to keep budget less than $150.

look for a used movie camera tripod. if you want it very steady it will need to weigh 20 lb.
