Any suggestions other than heavy sand from Sinclair for filling a rear bag for at the rifle range? The heavier the better.

No heavy sand locally. One guy did suggest sand blasting media though, which I thought was a good idea. Anything else that would work well?

Thanks!

I guess I could fill it with lead shot mixed with sand. Dunno, how crazy I am about sucking on a block of lead while shooting though. I suppose it is contained pretty good inside the Protektor leather, but everything gives you cancer these days in CA - can't be too careful.

I always ran pet store aquarium sand in my ol Protektor bags, an old benchrest shooter turned me on to it decades ago... Its heavy & packs densely to fill all the nooks & crannies. The poly beads are great for lightweight portable "squeezer" bag.

If you're a shotgun reloader, grab an old shot bag, a gallon zip lock bag & fill the bag with poly beads. Sew it shut & its a portable benchrest for a backpack.

Cat litter. Not sure how it compares to heavy sand weight wise, but thats what I use.
