Yeh, the problem is they've much harder to tune arrows for and the arrows need to be big and beefy because of the nature of the bow. A friend down here (Outlaw bows) makes lam bows and warbows and I'll get a warbow off him one day. I'm a school teacher so I might be able to use it as a teaching resource.
I find getting arrows heavy enough for my 65# longbow (Norseman Chieftain) hard enough as it is. I don't like the idea of buying any points/broadheads heavier than 200gn because they're much harder to come by here, so I need arrows with high GPI and able to take heavy inserts/components.
Have some 350 spines here that are 12gpi and I use a 100gn inserts and 200gn head. They weigh just on 650gn because I cut them so short. Haven't killed a critter with them yet but I have with 300s and about 290gn up front. Slightly longer arrow obviously but about 580-590gn. Nowhere near as nice to shoot but wow those arrows are moving fast out
