Heavy Bolt lift on Tikka 6.5

I inadvertently found heavy bolt lift in my t3x 6.5 after dry firing.

Bolt cycles freely without trigger pull and dry firing. Conversely, after dry fire heavy bolt lift after every dry fire cycle with somewhere around six cycles.

The bolt is factory with no modifications, and has had minimal prior dry firing.

How does this make sense?

It’s the cocking mechanism. Gets easier over time but it is standard.

Yep mine does the same thing empty and made me take a second look. I was messing with it though because every now and then I get some real heavy bolt lift with factory Hornady 147's so I was kinda looking for it. Probably 100 rounds fired at this point maybe less.
