Heavy bibs for Alberta whitetail

I use the Kuiu proximity on driven hunts in the winter time here in Mainland Europe. We are farther north than Southern Alberta/US Border, but warmer than that. More like Coastal Alaska. I don't think it would be warm enough for all day at -10 to 20 above in November in Alberta.

After years of hunting Alberta in late November with assorted gear I settled on Sitka gear for the hike in and then insulated "Standmaster" coveralls for the sit. PM if you have questions.

I have carhartt insulted bibs and coveralls for western state hunts, and winter work. But I don’t think those will cut it. I know it’s an expensive purchase but not being miserable is my big concern haha.

I have some firstlite solitude bibs that are pretty damn warm, they work. I hardly use them though, so big bulky and hot lol

i would think Sitka Fanatic would fit the bill, Iv layered up to hunt in around 0. Only downfall is i sometimes feel like the kid in a christmas story.

The kuiu super down stuff looks good and not as thick as the sitka. When i either sell of my sitka stuff wears out i will pick up th kuiu. The proximity is too think, even with layering youll freeze.

Sitka Fanatic bibs with the gradient pants on underneath, you can unzip the legs on the bibs but still have the warm pants on underneath, once you stop walking and cool off, zip up the legs and you're nice and toasty. Another option is the Kuiu Haven bibs, not quite as durable but are very warm.
