Heated vest experience?

I have the pnuma heated base layer vest. Best investment yet. Heat in all the right places watch for a sale I think I got mine for 75 bucks
I agree. It’s a great base for sitting in cold weather!

I got one for my brother going through chemo. He uses it every single day to get through work. Id buy 100 more of them if it made him more comfortable, and with a couple extra batteries he gets all day comfort and it didnt break the bank and he can wear it under a t shirt discreetly on job sites.

I haven’t used those vests myself, but from what I’ve seen they work fine for short sits. Battery life is the weak link. The cheaper ones are a mess, and the reliable models are way too expensive unless you really need one. A buddy of mine uses them for work and still goes through several a year.

I got a pair of socks last year and they are great. I think a vest will be on this years purchase list

Used the Pnuma heated vest for the 2nd half of the season last year and really liked it especially on those single digit cold days and longer sits. Haven't worn mid season under lighter layers but will be playing around with it this year. I have 2 extra batteries but one extra would be sufficient for all but the longest of all day sits.

Used the pnuma heated vest in late season last year. Definitely took out some of the layering bulk. Depending how long you plan to sit and how high you want the temp, an extra battery is helpful

I bought my parents the ororo vests for Christmas two years ago. They used them last deer season for the first time and are both fans. I’ll probably pick one up this year to give a whirl.

Does the use of a heated vest eliminate a layer in cold weather?
Just in case it ever gets cold (it's till pushing 90 here) I would like to maintain the range of motion for drawing my bow.
Even if it doesn't eliminate a layer does it actually make a long sit more comfortable?
Any suggestions on brands? Pnuma and Arris seem to be popular.
I bought one off ventusus brand (might be spelling that worng) on Amazon in construction orange with reflectors for work but have worn it rifle hunting in pa for bear and whitetail. A little heavy and they run a little snug so I usually pack it in my bag and put it on once I get to my stand or spot. But I can sit all day in sub freezing plus the pocket are heated to warm up you hands

That’s an Ororro vest I’m wearing in my avatar photo. It works great, really nice in late fall. For colder weather, I’ll sometimes use it along with the Pnuma base layer heated vest. That one is right on your skin and is the one I was referring to earlier. That thing rocks in cold weather.
