Oh yeah. It does help with arthritis for sure. When I'd previously divorced I'd used a bit there consistently (and judiciously) when I was murdering myself in the Gym. And like...my joints all suck and make horrendous noises sometimes because I caught Rheumatic Fever as a kid. And I definitely did notice it helped with my recovery after workouts. My rule was "Pay to Play". I had to workout if I wanted to indulge. I had to earn it. It worked well in that scenario too because it bolsters appetite, and I was making sure to eat clean and home cook everything. Got lean and mean. Did my 6 meals a day no bigger than size of a fist.. working out twice a day for at least 2 hrs each session. Got down to 185 Lbs! Lightest I'd ever been while training. Had Abs and the whole nine yards. It was murder... but the fringe benefits were worth it ;)

Plenty of pot up where I hunt in A zone. Can see greenhouses lit up over Clearlake from the ridge top above ivr. Hoophouses all over, some abandoned and some loaded with vibrant green veg. Lots of open gardens with grow bags strung along hillsides. All private ground. Been 12-15 years or more since I’ve seen any public land activity.

Heres a pot/hunter encounter you don’t hear. Garden tenders gave me a ride out with my avatar buck in ‘18. Two non English speaking fellows on a quad saw me coming down the ridge behind their grow and came to check me out. I was the only one packing a gun that day. Super nice guys, or so it seemed through the language barrier. They wouldn’t take any cash, food or fuel for the ride. Saved me about 3/4mile of downhill with pack full of meat, hide and head, in the afternoon sun.

They were smart. They figure they treat you cool, you don't drop a dime on 'em and call "One-Time".

"Alto". Really ? What kinda messed up 3 rd world OP did this chic roll up on ? Sounds GHETTO. Road spikes and all. Jar of Vaseline hid in the bushes maybe ? I've taken an A zone buck on private land during archery season near Willits and saw alot of grows ( all private land) while in the area. Shady folks abound but no actual negative interactions .

Many of the illegal grows are harvested and sold to markets where weed is still illegal and Ca grown product gets a premium price. Until it is federally decriminalized illegal grows will abound and since California's climate and ecosystem seems to be ideal for growing it will continue until the demand drops

And it's like... the very arrogance of them to even think it was ever within their power to prevent the possibility of this organism from just doing it's thing and growing/existing. That's the really ridiculous part. I mean for goodness sake... soooo many mechanisms exist in nature for dispursing seeds it's ridiculous! Even the very wind itself! It's like, really?... you think you're going to thwart an organism that's had a several hundred million year head start over you in terms of integrating into it's ecosystem and can exist in hell-holes your sorry butt would be hard-pressed to ever survive in? Good luck with that.

I made sure they knew I was “cool”.
Also ran into “the guy” a year later as his property uses same access as the small piece of blm I hunt. Told him about it and that I was thankful for the ride. White guy, was a little sketch at first til I told him we(gf and I) were just scouting for deer. He was getting 10wheeler loads of soil delivered and had large water tank on flatbed heading in to site. Wished us luck this season and I told him the same.
