Hawkins vs DNZ

Trying to narrow down the huge selection of rings and bases that are available for M700s. This will be going on a hard recoiling long action m700, fairly heavy scope. I prefer one piece mounts instead of a rail and ring combo. DNZ game reaper would be 20moa and the Hawkins long range are 25moa cant. Which direction should I go?

I have no experience with the Hawkins but the DNZ has been bullet proof on several rifles I have.

I have both, DNZ is nowhere close to Hawkins in quality, to me if I have a choice I’d go Hawkins every time.

Well that makes it much easier, do you guys see a need to lap Hawkins rings? Or is it not needed with most receivers?

For 1 piece unified mounts, Nightforce or NEAR Mfg.

Both have a recoil lip built into base.

I didn’t lap mine, I usually lap tally’s and my dnz I didn’t lap as it was a one piece.
