Havalon blades in other knives

Anybody know other knives that will accept Havalon blades? I have 20 something of the thicker 60A blades and while I liked the Havalon a lot, the clip on the side was loose so I've lost 2 of them. Wanting to try out something else and not waste my blades I already have. I looked at the Gerber vital folder but don't think it will accept the thicker 60A blades. Thanks for the help!

The parent company of Havalon is like Havel or something similar. They have fixed handles for all size scalpel blades.

Just looked them up and looks like I could get an autopsy scalpel from them lol. Looking for another folder though

My Gerber blew apart skinning a skull. Never again. The fixed handles don't weigh any more, cost $5, and won't fall apart.

I tried the gerber folder and it would not accept the 60A blades from havalon and the gerber blades were significantly less sharp than the havalon and dulled quicker.

I've heard others say this too but then hear some that says it will take them. Wonder if the made a change at some point? How recent did you try it?

Not that recent I have also heard some say they fit. My knife was probably ordered August 2014 I would guess. It’s wasnt the blade thickness either that would have worked it was the height of the holder gerber used. The inside slot height of the havalon blade would not go over the holder

Gerber does not work with 60a blades. Just bought one this week. Regret buying it now after having the blades not fit.

Good to know and sorry to hear it didn't work for ya. I ended up getting another Havalon since I found it for like 2 bucks more than the Gerber
