I have a monster noggin as well and the Kuiu Peloton hat in large is the only one that had ever really fit me without restriction.

My head is about 8 1/4.

I find the cheaper beanies work better than more expensive brands. Carhartt, etc.

For ball caps, I ordered from this guy - Home. Small business man so turn around was a bit slow but I am very pleased with the product. Great fit and a good selection of camo. Highly recommend it.

There is a guy on lightfighter.net called Dave svangel. He makes some awesome stuff. Works in a variety of camos and styles. One man shop and hand sewn so be a bit patient. Worth the wait.

I'm a 7 3/4 usually and always have a problem with hats. Under Armour L/XL are too tight, Flex-Fit L/XL are too tight, and so is pretty much everything else. The only name brand hat I've found, adjustable or fitted (other than inch specific), that fits somewhat comfortably is the Sitka ball cap. I also have a lot of hair, so I'm sure that doesn't help with fit.

I tried to order a hat from viper headwear the place referenced above. 6-9 months in no hat. Nobody returned calls no emails. I had to go through PayPal to get my money back. They said it had been to long, but when they looked at their account they noticed a ton of people getting stiffed and refunded my money. I had a friend who had recived a hat from them. But I didn't have any luck.

I think the guy had some health issues last year. Not defending him but just observing. I ordered. Sent an email or two. Forgot about it. Got the hats 3 months later. Turned out to be a nice surprise. Not ideal but the hats are great. I have an arid multicam ball cap that is my go to for hunting.

I love New Era MLB hats. About the only lids that fit my square head. I picked up a nice digital camo Rockies hat at the Memorial Day game. My new go to hunting lid

Don't order from viper headwear I ordered a hat two years ago and never received it. I have email (no number to call) multiple times with no answer. I'm not the only person that has happened to. I have also email recently since he started talking again on Facebook. Still no response or hat.

I've done some extensive research on the subject, and my best conclusion is to get a smaller head. It really is that just simple.

I have a big noggin. Most L/XL hats are still too small for me by a lot but I do have an older Underarmor heat gear hay that's camo and it fits great.

If anyone is interested a small hat maker called "Texas Tactical hats" has a limited edition hat that they make to your exact size. It's a bit expensive at $40 but they look like quality gear

I've got the FL trucker hat in blaze orange along with a 7-5/8 fitted cap- I can wear the hat, but I think the strap is on the second to last hole. I had to tape the strap to keep it from popping open. I wouldn't buy it again. Not sure if the other colors of the trucker hat have the same fit or not?
