Has anyone done a pedestal mount on the wall?

Hey guys I had my buck done for a pedestal and plans changed, so he needs to go on the wall now. I’m looking for any ideas or if someone on here has moved a pedestal mount to the wall? What did you use? I’m thinking about doing a bracket with habitat, the one holding him up right now is just temporary for pictures. Thanks!

I had my bull mounted on a pedestal but have him hung on the wall until we get a bigger house. We built a bracket that tacks to the wall with 3 screws, has an arm that comes out with the post at the end for the mount to slide onto. Pretty simple if you can weld, can also easily add vegetation if wanted.

I have a couple hanging on my wall just like that. I love the form and think they look great. You could also have a taxidermist build you rock outcropping or something behind/next to it if you don't like that look. I don't have any but you should be able to find some good examples on the net.

My dad did it to two African animals he had but they weren't turned so he just put a normal hanger in the back.

If you had a picture of your temp set up and how it lays against the wall where the hanger would have to be that would help.

Great buck.
I've got a couple pedestals and ordered super locks from McKenzie.

Agreed here. I have one like that (ok fine, he's a little smaller) on a pedestal, on a wall. Can't say I would have it any different (don't need "habitat" or anything like that). It's just on stout screw (log house), but if you had it in a stud, it should work just fine

I would leave it like that. I’m not a fan of a wall pedestal with habitat. It can become too much. A floor pedestal is a little different. I’ve mounted lots of wall pedestals over the years. It’s my favorite manikin to use.
