Harbor Freight Kitchen Scale

I have had a HF kitchen scale for few years now. I think the Moffats pointed me to this inexpensive device that can help get a decent baseline on actual backpack weights. Well I have had a 100gram calibration weight for my reloading scale for awhile but it just dawned on me to see what the old HF scale would say this weight weighs.

Just say I was impressed, to me it tell me that even after years of use it is an accurate scale and well worth the few $$ spent.

Ebay is loaded with superb scales from names like Accuteck and SAGA. I bought a SAGA unit there over a year ago ($27.00) and love it. Weighs in lb/oz or gm/kg. I've checked the accuracy and it's perfect. Used it to weigh each and every piece of my gear and has made weight-plotting so much easier ahead of a hunt.

Well, when they make a grain scale you can convert all you want.

In the meantime, I'll continue to use my "instant" "non-app" grain scale.
