Harbor freight Apache gun cases

These cases are a great deal.
Longer story, they aren’t as good quality wise as the higher priced roto cases.
I have a RTIC case, which is slightly lesser quality as a Pelican. The HF is about 3-4” shorter in length and definitely lighter, which I like. Fit in regards to case locking up isn’t as good but works. The RTIC case seals great, the HF should seal good, but the gaps are larger between the top and bottom.
Yes the foam is cheaper, but usable. I really like the post about using clothes/etc to fill the case to save room.

Harbor Freight actually sells the replacement foam online. Someone provided the specific link to it earlier, but I can't find it.

I'm sure if you go to the HF website and do a search, it will come up.

As many have said (and I agree), the foam it comes with is really cheap. Some have tried using the plastic dip method to help reinforce it and to keep it from falling apart, but do yourself a favor and do what I did.

I went to this site and bought some layered foam. It is a different closed-cell type foam. Not sure what it is called but it is a hundred times better and very easy to make custom cutouts.

You can also find it on Amazon.
Thanks I ended up just getting the replacement foam insert from HF. Was $25 with free shipping while foam factory and all the others wanted $40/50+ for just the shipping to Hawaii.

Do you have a link for the replacement foam?

There's a difference in skus and youu gotta double check the sku with what color you have I think. Not sure it matters but I did anyways
