Harbor freight Apache gun cases

Do inside track members get kickbacks for purchases? Would it be possible to purchase one with the store pickup and have someone else pick it up? Might be a win win
Inside Track Member is just the membership they offer like a Costco or Sam’s Club. Looks like it’s on sale for everyone starting Friday.

Do anyone by chance know the weight of the case without the foam? Or with the foam works as well, I assume the foam is just a few lbs

Just came back from another trip from the mainland. Used the pluck foam insert this time that I tweaked for what I was bringing (top foam piece missing in pic) but rly hard to beat for the price.

I think it's around 18 to 20 lbs unloaded so do have to take that into consideration when packing to keep it under 50lbs @TimberHunter

I coudn't help myself, I grabbed two. Should work good for transporting rifles from the house to the range.

I snagged one earlier this week. Agreed that it seems very nice for the price. I wish they had one big enough for a bow, too.
At first look they look bullet proof but when you start looking at the latches, wheels, handles, I’m not so sure. Time will tell I guess!

I picked up one yesterday. Weight seems comparable to my Pelican 1750s. Will see how long term durability compares.

I don’t like the pick n pull foam compared to the solid foam in the pelican. Doesn’t seem to hold as secure and long term durability is questionable.

Bought a used Pelican 1750 and the Apache. Going to return the Apache. If anybody has any compare and contrast type questions let me know.

How much was the used pelican? Do you feel $100 for the Apache was too much or what made you keep the pelican over the Apache?

I debated this for a while a couple years ago, wanted the pelican cuz it’s what all the cool guys use. Ended up buying the Apache for I think $90, it’s been used a fair bit when traveling to matches and such. I almost always have 2 rifles in mine and am not overly gentle with my stuff. Don’t have any complaints but haven’t used anything else to compare to.

I have both. For air travel I would definitely still grab the pelican. But I needed multiple cases (esp. now to comply with the new stupid CO laws about guns being in locked hard cases in vehicles) so Apache are an easy button for additional gun cases needed. I have no complaints using them hauling around guns in my truck.

I feel the same way. I ended up returning the Apache. The pelican is better in every way other than price. Retail vs retail I think I’d pick the Apache though. It’s a great case for the money.

I saw online that these cases are supposed to be 40% off tomorrow (July 22nd) for anyone looking. Thought I'd give the heads-up.

I’ve seen it in the store, looks okay at first glance, but I’m not sure how well it holds up over time. Would be good to hear from someone who’s actually put it through some real use.

Can this be used just for local travel? also thinking of keeping couple of long guns in it under the bed. What do you guys think? And before a smart comment pop up, yes, the gun safe is the way to go. Just looking for some practical input here.
