Man, I lose my mind when it gets Dark at 5pm here in CA. I don't know how you do it.

Alaska is a Land of Extremes... In a few months we'll have 24hrs of daylight. Guys shoot Dall Sheep in the Brooks Range at 12:01am on August 10th. Here's another extreme. This is my front porch in January and July.

Nice shooting YK!!! I think that group will do nicely...Dec/Jan/Feb are really the only time I work up load development it seems. After that its too bright and nice to just stay inside at the bench and at the range. I'm sure its very similar for you as well!

Winter is when I do my load development, just for those reasons. Not only do I have the time, but for some reason the range is usually near empty. :) It's not without it's drawbacks though. Not only do I fight the light and temps, but the chronograph gets really flaky in cold weather. I also have to be a bit conservative with the loads, since I've found a good load at -10 F can be pretty hot at +70 F.

ah well, I'm just happy to be gaining daylight again. Time to start planning some cabin trips.

Yk
