Here's hoping 2026 is good for all!

Waking up at 4 a.m. tomorrow morning and starting to set a tap line that spans 95 miles from my front door, to my last trap.
I quit drinking in June. Everyone else can have the party, I'll be enjoying the mountain tomorrow all day.
I’m not setting up a trap line but I’m with you, I’ll get a good nights sleep and tomorrow I plan to start chopping a few cords of wood by hand.

I actually didn’t work out for like 3-4 days because I was hauling and splitting wood to the point that I didn’t need a workout. I like chopping the wood when it’s zero degrees or below, it just breaks apart.

I'm a man of effort with a purpose, I struggle to workout, but I'll put 10 miles on snowshoeing everyday to set a traps, or see what's over the next hill.
You're right, if you're chopping a lot of wood, no exercise is needed!!

I was all about the trapping for several years, I didn’t have a good snowmobile at the time so I’d often go on foot and stay out overnight, I had a few cool 30-40 mile loops I’d hit on skis and snowshoes.

I just don’t have time for that these days, checking traps was a 2 day thing. These days, I set a few out to catch rabbits
In the willows, just simple snares. At one point I had thousands of dollars of trapping supplies and spent a lot of money sending furs to get tanned.
