Hanwag Boots

Dang. Some nice deals in there! I'm still running the Alverstone II's in Colorado, Wyoming & Montana. Love em

I’be been curious about these boots… Zamberlan has been great, crispi alright. How do the Albertsons do in warm weather vs an all leather boots? Summer scouting or archery hunting

I also have the Crispi Lapponia I's in a size 13 and couldn't get passed a heel blister so decided to give the Alverstone's a try after listening to a GoHunt podcast on boots. I sized down to a 12.5 and the heel cup is also improved so it didn't take too long to break them in. In warm weather, I wear a silk sock liner with the lightest merino boot sock from Darn Tough. Seems to work great for me. In cold weather, same silk liner with the heaviest OTC sock from Darn Tough.

All my Zamberlan's in a 13 show that equates to a 48 EU size. They are all very comfortable. My Crispi's show a 13 equals a 47 EU, and they're just a little tight. The Hanwag's show that their 13.5 equals a 48 EU size. I ordered a pair of those, hopefully they're the same size as my Zamberlan 13's.

I picked up their Tatra Top wide and the Tatra Bunion before they increased their prices a day or two ago. I've run Scarpa, Zamberlan, Crispi, Lowa, Salomon, etc.
Hanwag is as well made as any of those. Heel lock is outstanding. Just a touch of cushioning. I'm really impressed.
They do run on the narrow side.

If you have a fjallraven store in your area, check them out for sales as well. They are a dealer for Hanwag. I picked up a pair of the Alverstones for $133 out the door a few weeks ago. Not sure if that sale is still going, but worth looking into.

I can do either for archery season in Colorado but summer scouting they both were hot so I got something specifically for the summer. Otherwise the Zamberlan Saguaro I had was a loser fit especially in the heel and ankle, Alverstone fits more structured but not constrictive as it’s basically a medium duty mountaineering boot minus crampon compatibility.
