It takes a little doing, but it’s not overly difficult. A leatherman or some needle nose pliers are handy. I don’t mind this though because I don’t have to worry about it getting ripped off of my pack waist belt in the brush.

L.A.G. Tactical for my 45. The belt clips slide right into the webbing perfectly, and locks in. The gun rides between the belt, and the belt pocket

I don't have as much experience with it as some of these guys, but this is the one I ran for my G20 last year. I really liked it, I don't really even notice it when I'm hunting. I have it attached behind the belt pouch on my right side. The nice thing is, with the lock on it, you could theoretically slide head first downhill for 1/4 mile and it won't come out which might be nice in the country/jungle brush you hunt in, yet with a simple grip of the handle it releases instantly. You don't have to worry about losing your pistol under an old growth blowdown or in a viney patch.

Blackhawk Serpa with the molle attachment so you don’t have the paddle sitting between the pack belt and your hip. It sits on the outside of the belt, yet very secure.
Or a Gunfighters Inc chest holster. It’s always on you.

I have the chest rig, but I don't like it while wearing my bino harness. I like it on my pack belt so it isn't noticeable.

I use a Gunfighters Kenia for my Glock 40. This keeps the gun on me when my pack is off. Keeps the weight off my pack belt and frees up a belt pouch spot.

I wear a AGC bino pack that sits below the chest holster, but often wear the serpa on the hip, which balances my water bottle pouch on the other side. Chest holster is nice if it’s really wet and I want it a bit more protected or concealed under a jacket.

Call Dale Fricke. He could probably make you something. I like my zacheaus holster. Not what you're looking for but he makes a lot more than that.

There's always this route. I've got the Gunfighter's Kenai Chest Holster as well. I was thinking
about getting one of their holsters using malice clips for attatchment but maybe I'll give the
JC holster a try.

I've ALWAYS WONDERED if it's a solid, comfortable, non-flopping all about and not uncomfortable way to carry......

I am a huge fan of the G code RTI system. It is the ticket if having your sidearm on you is needed at all times or you like options. It provides flexibility to move from your pack's hipbelt when hiking, straight over to your pant's waist belt if you drop your pack for any reason at all (think in and out of vehicles/atvs, stalking, etc).

All can be done with a single kydex holster (nunerous quality companies have adopted it as a viable mounting option) and two separate attachments. I have a number of holsters for different pistols with the system and can strap any to my kifaru in seconds which has a permanent mounting plate.

Have been tempted to go with the JC style as they look awesome, but the RTI fills the bill when running minimal and affixed only to the pack for a trip.

I really like the looks of this system... they look pretty low profile, I’m wondering how well the standard belt attachment would ride under pack belt ?

So I use Aholester with my Kifaru pack. Nice thing is their holsters will attach to the pals webbing on the hip belts. I can run my 1911 commander no problem. My shield and K6S revolver with a small belt pouch over it and have zero problems.

My partner kydex holster, on his pack belt, makes a lot of slapping noise with brush, branches against it.
My leather holster mounted outside pack belt was much quieter. It got to point if moving in on game, I had him lag behind, noise from kydex was that bad.

I went to leather chest holster, totally out of my way, no interference from binoculars harness or drawing bow. No worries of slip&fall. No transfer of holster from pack belt to pants belt if sliding pack off for approach stalk.

If you run a holster on your pack what do you do when you take your pack off as far as carry?
