The Journey was specifically designed for backpackers that like tarps but have the ability to use the tarp off ground with a hammock or down to the ground with a ground pad/Tyvek if wanted, hence the doors, so in essence a four season tarp.
This is Silpoly, not Silnylon, so doesn't wet-out like Sylnylon.
