Do you have other unattractive features?
I got em all. Bald, hairy, glasses, short.
Just shave it
I tried them when I was younger, only thing it accomplished was making my back look like a gorillas. If you use the OTC minox shampoos and whatnot I'm certain you must use them for life or the growth you see might recede back to what it is now no?
Bald eagles are just buzzards with hair plugs and a better marketing team. Best spot to see them is the land fill.
Just shave your head and get moderately jacked

You can get ball caps with built in ponytails you know….I have decided that I cannot in good conscience spend the money required to truly get my hair back as it is purely a vanity/self image thing that I have gotten over (kinda). So far, an assortment of good ball caps is about the only expense I can tolerate.
I am NOT one of the people that can rock a bald head. The good lord blessed me with a massive set of ears that I’ve determined were meant to be tamed with curly locks or balanced with a ball cap.
Who has successfully recovered their receding hair line or thinning hair? In my early 20's and have noticed my hair line has receded significantly last few years (probably a result of stress and years of graveyard shift). Overall, the hair I do have is relatively thick and full, just a horrible hairline at the moment.
I want to try and bring my hair back with natural or OTC treatments if possible. Anyone have experience with minoxidil? What else worked for you? I'm too young for this BS.
There’s nothing wrong with caring about keeping your hair. It’s an uphill battle against Mother Nature though.
Topical minoxidil is easy and safe, it’s just a pain to stay consistent with it. Results will vary.
Low dose oral minoxidil (2.5- 5mg daily for males) has gained a lot of traction over the last several years. More convenient than topical and I feel it’s more effective. Minimal side effect profile.
Oral finasteride or dutasteride (off label) are probably the most efficacious. You can experience sexual dysfunction, so for young male patients, it’s important to bring up. Without getting too far into the weeds either, they can also protect against prostate cancer, but males who happen to develop prostate cancer while on these mass tend to have higher grade carcinoma.
I’m on oral minoxidil and dutasteride. The oral minoxidil kept things at bay, but dutasteride really made a notable difference. I tried the laser cap consistently for 6 months and did not see much appreciable difference (especially comparing photos).
I have an ugly head and prefer to keep it covered for a long as I can haha.
..Micro needling can help, so can letting mother nature sunburn the areas that are thinning. Both promote healing, blood circulation etc. There are studies out there and Derek More Plates More Dates talks about it.
Do you recommend sunscreen too? Which studies also show is terrible for your skin. Please don’t do this - unless you want to look forward to guys like me removing basal and squamous cell carcinoma from your scalp.
