Hello reloaders,
I am reloading 6.5 creed in a 20” tikka ctr with the 99gr hammer hunter and trying to get close to 3000fps. @45grains @2.78 coal im getting 2958fps also srp. Have you guys seen good groupings with compressed loads of H4350?

Having loaded several hammer bullets, they all required me to step up a 1 burn speed in powder to get results. For example: loading 270win H4831sc with Eldx but switched to H4350 to shoot hammers. If your compressed and not getting speed/pressure, stop and move to a faster powder

I've shot H4350 compressed in my 6.5x47 with 153s and it hammers.

If you can shoot at safe pressure compressed, just make sure whatever load you use is far enough away from the compression point so you don't end up with some rounds that are marginally compressed and others that are uncompressed. That will make things shoot terribly.

Are you using a funnel with drop tube? I can get about 10% more h4350 in a 300wsm case when using one. also makes for a more consistent level of compression if any still occurs.

Shot the rifle yesterday, with varget. Got a little more speed and wasn’t near max pressure or case capacity. Its grouped solid, load was 41gr Varget coal 2.76 .060” off lands 99hh, 20” ctr tikka 2975av sd8

Not sure how it would transfer into a copper bullet, but I have an 18" 6.5CM XBolt Max SPR and had great luck with StaBall 6.5 and Hornady 100gr ELD-VT. Went up to 48.5gr and she surprised me with a 0.4" group at ~3150fps. Obviously YMMV with copper, but just another datapoint for reference.
