Been using mine for a few months now. It's pretty legit. I like the 10X magnification, even though you do give up a little optical clarity because of it. Ranging and calculations are super fast. Also really like the base wind feature.

One thing that I don’t see mentioned here is Sigs new RF ability to mark a spot with basemap. This to me is a game changer in the LRF technology. How Gunwerks wasn’t able to integrate this with their new RF is pretty odd. Seems like they are already behind in technology with their newest RF.
Not odd at all. I would not be surprised in the least to find out that Sig paid dearly for exclusive rights to have the Basemap software. No different than any other competitive business relationship. If a company is willing to pay enough for exclusivity......they will to limit competition.

For me, the Basemap ability of the Sig doesn't sway me in the least. I am handy with directions, map and my gps hand held. I want the best rangefinder with the best ballistic capable software. All the extra stuff, is just stuff to me.

And for what it's worth.......I own two Sig Rangefinders

Any idea how these stack up to the kilo 8k abs?? I’m in the market for a new rf but I’ve had QC issues w sigs in the past. I’m on my second replacement unit from them so leaning a little towards the revic.

Anyone have any cold weather exposure with these yet? That seems to be what kills rf function most for me.

20 degrees is the coldest I’ve been out in. It was fine at that temperature

@Ryan Avery what does the back of the cordura case look like? Any means of attaching to a bino harness?
It has a stitched sleeve, like to run a belt through. Or one of the chest straps from your bino harness. I ended up getting a new bino attachment from marsupial gear that is designed for the revic and it fits much better and less sloppy on the harness though.

Gotcha, thank you for the picture and explanation. Yes I was looking at the Marsupial pouch too. It looks nice but I'm not a fan of magnetic closures and I use an AGC bino harness, so I was curious about compatibility. I'd probably go for the AGC pouch but it looks like it is going to be too small for a Revic.

Okay gotcha! The pouch the rangefinder comes in fits pretty sloppy on a bino harness, but is definitely manageable!

So what it the verdict?
Is this the long range hunting rangefinder for 2022?
Weighing this against saving the money and picking up a lieca 2400r and just spending the bit of extra time to open the phone app.

I just don't see anyone being disappointed with this rangefinder. I will say, I enjoyed ranging much more with the Zeiss 10X42 RF's. But as far as a hand held, long range ballistic rangefinder, the BR4 is legit. I would not like having to get an app pulled up on my phone during crunch time at all. I would never set myself up to put myself in that situation if I could avoid it.

I don't see myself switching to RF binos. I like my ELs

Yeah, I switched from the Zeiss RF's to the BR4 & 12X NL Pures. As much as I loved the ranging Zeiss's, the new combo is better overal.
That is just the combo I have. Been great so far. Used the ballistic truing on the br4 2 weekends ago. Worked perfectly.

Yeah the ballistic truing is a cool feature! Their app is pretty awesome as just a stand alone ballistics app, even without the BR4!

I've had both RF from Gunwerks and this new REVIC is way better. The Revic size is perfect for rifle hunting and the distance is superior to the old one by a few hundred yards. I carried the original on my bino harness and never really thought "I can't stand this" Yes it was big, but it was manageable, but now with the new condensed version, it's a great choice. Furthest shot to date with REVIC is 1607.

Also, Marsupial Gear has a much better fitting and more robust rangefinder case for it as well. Fits perfect right on the side of a bino harness.
