I cannot find where it says it is a 3 positions safety?

Operating The Safety
The Endex features a two-position safety. The safety provides a mechanical protection against accidental or unintentional discharge when in good working order and when properly set. Remember, the safety is a mechanical device and can fail, so it is best to always have safe shooting practices in place instead of relying on the safety itself.

• Rear (Safety Engaged & Bolt Locked) - With the safety to the rear, the trigger is blocked from firing and the bolt is locked closed
• Forward (Fire) - With the safety to the forward position, the trigger can be depressed and the rifle is in the fire position. The bolt can also be operated freely in this forward position.

We started with the Tikka for inspiration. Learned A LOT along the way.

Drop tests started with saami, but we enhanced to 4ft 6-axis drops. We broke a lot of rifle parts doing these.

We've done quite a bit of scope drop testing and there were similarities, but lots of new learnings about rifle weights and fire control systems.

Give me some balsam wood, glue, couple screws , maybe some leather to fancy it up and I’ll straighten out that forend. Trigger reach looks a little long too.

Trigger shoe has 1/4 inch adjustment forward and back.

The endex features the gen 2 of the nxt action. We call it NX2. About 5 oz lighter and reduced bolt lift 40 percent. New trigger. 2pos safety. Nexus gets an update in September.

Im curious as to what the reasoning behind going back to a 2 position safety is. Considering it was an improvement over a traditional Remington 700 style 2 position safety. And it was marketed as such. Also would like to know if you’d ever consider making a 26” option for 300 prc. I think it would be a great option for those of us running the heavy for caliber Barnes 208 & 212 LRX. Posibbly even offered with your more aggressive verdict muzzle brake?

The fact it locks the bolt is a improvement.

If there is zero risk of triggering the firing pin taking off safety to remove a round then the 3 position is neg.

Safe gun practices for clearing a round is best obviously.

To me the biggest risk is coming off safety while hunting or the bolt opening while on safe. That is one thing I hated on the rem 700 rifles but the nexus was a good for locking the bolt.

What kind of update? Im talking with a dealer about purchasing one now and want to know if i should wait a week or so

Only update is nx2 action. Key benefit is lighter bolt lift, lighter weight, adj trigger position. Price increase...effing trigger.

Interesting. I may have to go this route. When i first saw the endex i considered ordering it for the action but im not a chassis guy. Just out of curiosity, will bolt heads from gen 2 actions work in gen 1 bolts, or will gen 1 only have magnum bolt faces?

G2 and G1 are cross compatible for barrels, bolt heads, and magazines.
