Gunwerks Endex Rifle System

Exactly how chassis should have been built from the beginning. There is a chassis that has been in the works for several years designed similarly.

I do think those are very cool, but now we're talking Blaser money... Or stainless Tikka in a Rokstok in every chambering offered.

Interesting they're pushing the PRC magnums.

Funny - the PRC mag thing is what I noticed too, aside from the built-in features of front end, and folder of course.

6.5 for "deer" was good, ha. I have a nice bruise from my 7PRC this weekend, 15 shots with 180g. Apparantly it's the end all be all. That's why I was talking needing a 6 creed on the line.

I like the chassis setup, mag setup, 3 pos safety, etc but to start at 7.5# for 16" Carbon barreled short action is a bit beefy. The flier i saw had them listed at 8#. I get not wanting to go full length ARCA on the fore-end but dont really like the step down from the arca section. Too many transitions = less ideal for riding on front rests.

The other thing is that there's possibly gunwerks only barrel replacements?

I'm sure it fits gunwerk's target market well.

Great buttstock design. Not sure what they were doing with the foreend, which looks full of snag points not to mention not parallel. Seems like a bipod/tripod only setup. Shame.

They have a podcast up now with Aaron explaining the thesis behind the Endex chassis, as well as speaking to the trigger design. He spoke a lot to the downsides of existing folder chassis options out there, notably lack of a toe line and reduced recoil management. It was also refreshing hearing him talk about shootability and just how important stock design is.

I can’t afford one but hopefully this will provide a bit of a nudge to the competition..

Also, sounds like this represents the end for the Nexus. They spoke to issues that action presented that they needed to “fix” with this new action. Couldn’t help buy think about Avery’s past comments about his wife’s Nexus having a gremlin or two.

Oh chassis… The feel, the noise, the gay little shelves for thumbs…

Very glad to see someone innovating the “chassis” space a bit to move away from the above.

This seems very close to something actually useable for hunting and high volume daily shooting.

Biggest concern is the foreend, looks to be designed with bipod or tripod as primary focus (not ideal for how I shoot and hunt). Would love to see this properly shot off a pack both prone and seated.

Would be cool to see a heavy use Rokslide member give one of these a go this season.

If @Aaron Davidson sent me one I’d give an honest backpack hunters review with full write up here. It would see more use in the next 6 months than most guns see in their lifetime.

Maybe I’ll just buy one… Hmmmmm.

I'm wondering if the geometry helps lessen the tuning fork sensation compared to the chassis's I have used. Maybe it was just the hnt 26 being magnesium and carbon that makes it worse.

Give me some balsam wood, glue, couple screws , maybe some leather to fancy it up and I’ll straighten out that forend. Trigger reach looks a little long too.
