I bought a used Gunwerks Clymr last year and absolutely hate it.

I went from a Tikka t3x which action was so smooth to this which is jerky and binds. I sent a video to the store that I bought it from (which is a major Gunwerks dealer here in Canada), and was told that it is just because it is titanium and "titanium is just a grippier metal, and one of the major tradeoffs for weight", but I am not really confident in an accurate follow up shot if I need to take one now.

I reached out to Gunwerks too and sent them a video but they ignored me.

I feel like this explanation is like telling me that the Ferrari I just bought shifts like shit because it goes fast and that's just how it is.

Does anyone have this issue?

Here is a short clip of me cycling the bolt on it if anyone is interested.

Prime example of why I don’t care for titanium actions. I have a Gunwerks Magnus with steel action and it’s very smooth. My brother and dad have a few more of their rifles, no issues. Titanium is definitely sticky.

I don’t have TI experience directly.

First call gunwerks.

See if you can send the bolt or whole action to get dlc coated.

You can also try some of this lube.

Is it the titanium bolt body binding on the action? or is it having feeding/extraction issues?

If its bolt binding, Id agree with the shop, if its feeding issues, a Gunwerks shouldn't have those.
