Gunwerks Bipod Review

I would avoid the SRS pics. They have skeletonized recoil lugs. Get something with full sized recoil lugs. B & T industries is a great place to start. Seen issues with mine on SRS and Hatch brand pics.
Agree.

Here’s a couple that have worked for me. B&T Atlas BT34 for a short one, have also used the Seekins 2.5” on stocks that use sling swivels for sling.

Thank you sir!
I’m using an SRS arca pic rail with this bipod and it does not work well. I’ve got the clamp tightened to hold it on pretty decent, but it’s pure friction, the lug won’t engage. It works but does mark up the rail pretty decent (who cares) - I mention because I think that’s due to it slipping incrementally.

Good to know I’m glad I asked before buying

Surely somebody makes an arca/pic that's not skeletonized? Wouldn't that be the best of both worlds? I'd buy one!!

I prefer mine, in every way except fully extended height over the Tricer. The Tricer excels at seated shot height. It will live on my predator guns, while the GW is on my big game rifles.

This is basically where I have arrived as well. Predator, deep snow, antelope - Tricer. Most back country style hunts, gunworks.

I am curious to try the second edition that locks panning.. that will help out for sure. I don’t love having to press the button to open the bipod and prefer the gunworks pull to open mechanism. It’s not a deal breaker and I did use the tricer this year and shot a couple critter off it and it is meeting the need of a “lighter, nicer Harris”.

My ideal would be an elevate 3.0 that added ~6” on the current version.
