Gun vises & Torque wrenches

That's the outdoorsmans of vises. How hard is it to make micro adjustments when leveling for a scope mount?

It's doable, but when you release the tension on the ball it loosens side to side and fore/aft. So its a bit finicky for the micro adjustment required to level for scopes.

I just replaced the feet with longer bolts with knobs on the top side of the base. I get it close with the ballhead and then I can lock everything down and micro adjust to level on both axis'. No pictures but it's one of my favourite features.

i found a pic of the hinged boards i built to hold a stock steady. very versatile, you can clamp a barrel in it also.

very handy when changing barrels.

Borka Enterprises makes a really good torque wrench and kit. It looks like they have discontinued the field kit version that I have, unfortunately. However, their current offerings look similar to what I have. Just an option to look at.
