Hey guys, so I have a long hunter lid with my highcamp. Besides going to the guide for actual shoulder straps is there any differences??
You prefer one over the other?
Thanks, Rob

I have both, and don't care which one I use. They both pretty much do the same thing imo, unless you want to use the shoulder straps.

So they are same size and shape? I find with the highcamp not full the long hunter slides off the top of the frame. Or do I have it not hooked up correctly??
Thanks, Rob

The guide lid is 1200 ci and the long hunter is 1000 ci I believe. The problem you are having will be the same with both lids. It's due to the attachment point of the lid straps on the pack. When my pack is empty, I keep the front straps pulled tight to keep the lid up on top of the frame. Hope that makes sense? I can take a couple pictures tomorrow if you would like.

Justin, pics would be great. Just to make sure I am hooking it up correctly.
Mattb, I can't thread the webbing thru the k-conn that the load lifter is attached to. There is a plastic tab loop above the k-conn if that's what you mean.
Thanks, Rob

Yes I believe the loops you are speaking of are the loops that I run my straps through.

I have the longhunter lid on my pack, I bought a guide lid for my wife's pack, I think I would prefer to have the guide lid, it has an extra pocket that would be great for camelback etc and it also has pals loops on the top to add a pocket.

Mad mountain, that's exactly how I ran my straps. Must be the way to do it. Thanks.
The guide does look like it would be better. Plus it is larger.
Guess I better get one on order.
Thanks, Rob
