Vote if you feel you would purchase one of the barrels meeting a configuration consistent with your vote. Please feel free to add your preferred spec in the comments if they aren't above. I intend to create a group buy for the winning configuration of the poll. Depending on the numbers, maybe a second group buy for first loser--if you Tikka lovers vote enough.

The idea for this group buy came from suggestions in this thread. For 2025, my partner and I are expanding the LS Wild store, which is focused on awesome products for hunters, in the niche's favored by so many Roksliders. You already may have seen our group buy for an annealer and other group buy I am working on for a Mini CBK knife.

I don't shoot Tikka, but based on the popularity here, I figure 22 Creedmoor is a good one to start with and keep stocked in the store. I plan to add others like Origin/Solus, Howa, Remage, etc. in some of the "Rokslide" calibers.

Back to the details. I am talking with different barrel companies to order an OEM batch of barrels, so the barrels will be lasered with LS. You Tikka lovers might actually convince me to add another something special to the laser engraving... Lemme know what you think.

Specs: barrel nut or shouldered prefit, threaded muzzle, stainless steel, matte finish, guaranteed 1 MOA by barrel makers and me.

Estimated cost shipped: less than $370 with barrel nut or less than $525 shouldered.

Have them throated and twisted for the 88s? Common story on rechambered tikka barrels seems to be they aren’t ideal for the 88s.

22 CM prob makes the most sense for prefits w a 6CM already in the pipeline from Tikka.

Joking/not joking, but you could spec a 6-284. To me it makes more sense than a 6PRC or really a 6UM for that matter, standard bolt face, more mag capacity, quality brass.

I agree, especially given the prices outside the group buy. I just spent almost $1000.00 ($999.95!) for a 1:7 .219

@hereinaz ,
Not to complicate things, and I love your idea here. Keep it coming! I think another good caliber option would be 223.

Give the Roksliders what they want!

I figured 22 creedmoor would be a good, non-standard start and something the "Rokslide niche" would appreciate,

I've seen 6-284 and .223 wylde so far. I agree those are probably good options. I personally like the 6-284 over the 6 UM.

If anyone wants to start a thread for their "favorite" caliber, if enough people want it, I'll have it made and what doesn't sell keep in stock.

I voted except on twist. I wouldn't want faster than a 7.5 either. 0.219 and not a 0.218 also.
Give the people what they want, lol. The trend is 7.5 twist. I was going faster for the shorter barrel and possibly the 95s.

Sounds like the 88s are the heaviest most people are going?

And, 0.219 if possible.

I wouldn’t be a buyer, I’m getting out of 22cm. But if I were I’d want.

18” barrel
As thin as possible with 5/8 threads
.219 bore
7.5 twist
.120 freebore
Shouldered barrel

Curious why you're getting out. Going through barrels too fast to make it worth the trouble?

I would be looking for the same specs as Lawnboi above, perhaps maybe in a 20" rather than 18", but either is good. I'm not voting because it would really depend on the barrel maker and smith, etc and if I think the quality would be on par or above similarly-priced custom Tikka prefits (e.g. McGowen, Preferred in the $500-$700 range).

I understand and agree with the price/quality. I would let you know who the maker is if able. There are only so many barrel makers, and I am reaching out to all of the usual suspects, plus some smaller shops that would do good work...
