Hunting unit h in wy. 1 hr south of jackson. Should we be concerned?

I have a couple of friends in that area. One guides for elk & muley (Mule Creek Outfitters) & he got zapped by a grizzly, 4 years ago on Beaver Ridge. Nothing major, just a few stitches & a couple of days in hospital plus a serious WGF investigation.
My other friend has lived in the area for 60+ years. He tells me that they're getting more prevalent, but has still only actually seen 4 or 5 in his lifetime.
There were a couple of hiker/bear interfaces last year just outside Pinedale, at the bottom end of the Wind River range.

I'd be aware, but probably not paranoid about it. I know I'm taking my pistol this year, just in case, but I'm not expecting to see any bears.

DIY,
I hunted west of Daniel for elk in 2006 & 2010. The folks that rented us some lodging told us of a Sow Griz that charged a bow hunter that was moose hunting. We had 4 guys in our party and 2 members did see some older Griz tracks. In addition, a large cougar was spotted on this trip. It was 9:30 in the morning when the big tom was seen less than 100 yards from a spot where my friend's son gutted a cow elk two days prior.

In 2008 I hunted solo and un-guided in the NF north of Jackson Hole. Found poor elk sign, while the Griz sign there was just incredible. This is how I came up with my handle. I was pretty intimidated and basically hunted like a pussy. It only got worse when I heard some wolves sounding of on my return to the truck after dark one night. I can only imagine how I would felt if I had been bow hunting this unit.

Carry some bear spray, keep a clean camp and be bear aware. H is a big area and while there might be a few around chances are in your favor of not seeing any. Don't let horror stories infect your brain if you do you'll end up seeing and hearing grizzly behind every tree and it will affect your hunt. I've hunted different parts of that area over the last 8 years and I've never had an issue.

There are definitely Grizzly Bears in the area. Bring bear spray and a side arm if you choose.
