I know a lot of you guys and gals have put moose on the ground so post you picture and tell a little about the hunt. This one is just for fun!

This was the toughest hunt I have ever been on. Twenty four days of hunting before I found this moose in northwest Montana. A cool thing about this hunt is that Amy and I found two nice whitetails and killed them both in the morning. Then found this 51 inch B&C bull right before dark. It was a great day to be in the woods. My advice to moose hunters is do not abuse your wife like I did. I shot this bull 3.5 miles from a road in 18 inch's of snow. Amy never once complained about the pack out

Canadian............ Last day of a 7 day hunt. Missed an opportunity on a Monster this year.

Canadian............Day 5 only Moose on this hunt I saw.

Going to plan another trip to AK. in 2013. I want one with my bow.

Here's my one and only moose after 13 years of applying... -35 Celsius and 3.5 km from the truck. Talk about a long day

Took 7 pulls of the trigger to get him...dam firing pin was frozen on the gun...lol

Luckily i had a good friend with a strong back, 2 backpacks and 2 kids sleds to get this beast out.

Here is my WY archery moose hunt. I only had one day to hunt because I was attending BYU when I drew. Not a monster....but filled my freezer and was best tasting moose ever!

Yikes...when you hang them up like that it really shows the true size of a moose. I used to think we had to wait too long for moose draws around here but after packing moose out the last 3 years with mine and other friends moose...I think that waiting a few years between moose tags is good

He was some good eating, though I learned a sad lesson on that moose...never let Luke take the meat to the processor unsupervised. I had to go back to work, and he couldn't get back to hunting until that moose was in the freezer so he and my brother in law took it to the butcher we used at the time (you had to stay and wrap it yourself). Long story short, he turned that entire spike fork (minus the backstraps and tenderloins) into hamburger, and then dumped the packages into the chest freezer on top of the old stuff from the year prior! I was less than impressed...

Doubt he will ever make that mistake again, but I try to accompany him now or phone my order ahead

Freezer organization has never been my strong suit.

Probably because you have never had any practice. As I recall, before I came along you were giving all your meat away...

Ryan, your wife sounds like a great lady! Anytime you would like to practice freezer organization, feel free to come on up. We currently have three freezers (two stand ups and one chest) that could use some reorganization before next season rolls around. I will even let you have anything labelled "2010" or older
