Anyone using the griffin 2 port break? Does it have much effect on recoil? I’m trying to decide between this and another Ti minimalist break on a soon to be 18” m70 30-06. The Ti break is butt ugly but only weighs about 1 oz...
Thanks for your help!

What threads? I'm doing another run of my 3 port Ti brakes pretty soon. Everyone that bought one said it looked great. They work great and weigh 1.3 oz. You can pm me if you want. They aren't self timing...

I can shim it to fit. Are they compatible with the griffin taper mount? I’m hoping to get enough shoulder to go 5/8x24 but in reality it’s probably going to end up at 9/16x24. I’ll pm you.

I have several of the Palidin two port brakes. I like them and they do seem to reduce recoil better than the minimalist brakes. Does it compare to a four gill brake? No, but I like it for how compact it is.

Same boat here. Just received a Paladin yesterday, for my AR-15, but haven't put it on yet. And none of my hunting rifles have enough shoulder for 5/8, even if I were to cut a lot of length. It shouldn't be too expensive to have the 1/2-28 .223 Paladin Drilled out/threaded to 9/16 with a bore appropriate for 6.5 or .30

LivetohuntID, if you made a titanium Griffin taper-mount brake with similar length the Paladin, with 9/16 threads, I would buy some.

Update
I bought a 1/2x28 5.56 paladin break from griffin, had my local smith cut my tikka 300wsm to 22” and thread it 1/2x28 ( I’m aware that it’ll be exploding any day now) and then open up the bore to 30 cal. Long story short, I’m really happy with the results. The paladin does pretty good at reducing recoil. I would say recoil was pretty stiff before, my 18 yr old shot it once and handed it back to me. Today I shot it with the break for the first time. I was able to shoot 35rnds without getting flinchy. My last 2 groups were10 shots each and both measured 2 1/4”. I’m pretty stoked about that! Especially considering that I was shooting Winchester white box el cheapo ammo!
The smith said that tikka uses “one hell of a heat treating process cause that stainless is f-ing hard!” He also said my bore is really tight. His 30 cal alignment rod wouldn’t fit. We didn’t measure it, but I‘ve seen really good accuracy so far. I’m guessing it’s just going to be a slow barrel. I’ll find out after hunting season cause I’m not starting load development just yet. Hopefully this helps someone else decide....
