Update:
Finally was able to have a surgeon at Rebound go over my MRI and give me his opinion. It looks like the grade 2 ACL is actually the old ACL injury I had way back when I was 16. He thinks the recent acute issue is related to a meniscus tear I did while surfing down here. His opinion is to get the old ACL replaced and while doing so take a look at cleaning up the meniscus. I asked if there was any benefit of doing it now rather than waiting until Oct and he thought Oct was fine. I did ask if he thought the old ACL issue/instability contributed to this injury and he said absolutely. But... it has been that way for 37 years already so not sure waiting 6 more months is going to be worse.
I actually have 15 CO points not 14 so I am not going to use them this year. Will burn my 6 OR points on a hunt I can go on with my son, who is a resident. I wanted to get out of the OR points anyway. Then do the surgery in Oct and will have 11 months to get better for the next elk season.
