Gpsmaps 67i

Good morning , just got the Garmin 67i from my wife for Christmas , I’m looking for some input in a good map file to buy I hunt primarily NY , I have found the Garmin huntview plus map for about 90$ , I do use onx on my phone but just am looking for a plan B before going to map and compass this unit was mainly purchased for the in reach ability

Did you find an answer? I was considering a 67i but don’t like that you can’t load OnX.

No , I do love the unit it’s self I think I’m going to go with the Garmin maps I just have been busy and have not had the time to mess around with it yet. I think youll really like the 67i though

I wouldent hesitate to purchase , haven’t taken it hiking or hunting new buisness venture has all my time tied up but have taken it and tested it around my property and on the road I think you’ll be happy , ps I did get the Garmin maps

That is a one time purchase correct? I wonder how it compares to onx. I would also probably make the purchase, I’m not big on relying just on my phone in case battery dies or something else unexpected happens. I’d feel a lot more comfortable with having another option and honestly would probably use the Garmin as primary

Yeah one time , that was my plan too keep the phone in the pack or where ever untill I need it , the battery on the Garmin is insane but I got a “dark energy “ battery bank incase I need to charge either. Gonna be setting a remote tent up in ADK’s for deer this year went and did some scouting and using the Garmin all day the battery barley even drained
