Halo seems super attractive

Back when I needed it, I thought the Halo gps collar was great. It was also adjustable pretty much at will. I could stop my dog from peeing in half the yard if I needed to give the grass there a break.

We just got a Halo 5 a couple weeks ago. I'm somewhat of a tech nerd and was pretty skeptical about it being accurate enough. It's been suprisingly good although there is a bit of drift in a couple spots. I drew the boundary in the app and then we fine tuned over the course of a couple nights. I then put flags around the yard every 5 feet or so and we walked him on a leash several times around the yard over the course of 2 days. I have it set to warning beep (he was already e-collar trained so he was used to that) and then zap if he leaves. He got zapped twice the first day and hasn't tried it since. There is one spot between houses the GPS seems to lose him - so I just expanded that boundary out into the neighbors so he's always safe from a zap, and then I just put the marking flags where I actually want him to stay within. So far, so good.
