GPO reviews and thoughts?

I guess so, the CEO of GPO and the President of GPO USA both said that they use the same lenses as Zeiss for the Spectra line and Japan and Phillipines for the Passion line.

I had to edit. The Spectra line for GPO use the same glass as Zeiss but the Passion line uses Japan and Philippines glass.

I did alot of reasearch before my brother and I bought scopes from GPO. It was between Leupold and GPO. GPO won.

Right off the GPO site:

TOUGH. TECHNICAL. BRILLIANT.

German Precision Optics (GPO) is a leader in the development, engineering and design of binoculars, riflescopes and rangefinders. Our mission is to create premium-quality products that meet the needs of serious hunters, birdwatchers, and nature enthusiast, and that are built to the highest German optical standards. Different from other European premium optics brands, we do not charge a premium price for our products. What makes this possible is our ability to source the best optical components and outsource our final production and assembly, but we demand that these facilities meet our high German standards. Furthermore, to ensure these standards are met, we have invested in an extreme quality control structure, whereas all of our products are hand-inspected and quality-control tested by German engineers in Germany 100% of the time.

Also the owner of GPO is the former CEO of Zeiss Europe and the other guy was the President of Zeiss USA and also worked for Steiner. They use the same materials and lenses Zeiss uses for their optics.
The video I watched a week or so ago the CEO of GPO was explaining that they have finally made their nest in Germany and outsource only to European companies now. He said no Asian companies for GPO.
Don’t see made in Germany In that. Believe they have built in China and Japan, QC’d in Deutschland

Like I said before, in the video I watched of the CEO of GPO and the President of GPO USA, they said that they have made their roots in Germany and outsource to European countries to keep quality up. They are trying to get away from using Asian outsourcing since they settled in Germany but I am not oging to say that it's set in stone. Alot of people that have bought GPO say they are on par with Zeiss, Steiner, Schmidt & Bender and Swarovski but a little bit more affordable. I just recently purchased a GPO Spectra 5x 3-15X56 to go on my Bergara B14 Squared Crest in 6.5 CM. Quality of the GPO riflescope seems to be on par with Zeiss. My brother has a Zeiss on his 270 WSM and when he seen the quality of my GPO scope, he purchased a Spectra 4x 4-14x50 to replace his Zeiss. He is going to transfer the Zeiss to his 7mm08 backup hunting rifle.

If anyone is interested in GPO. I found a web site that sells GPO and several other brand name optics for less. The site is where I purchased my scope. I am not affiliated in any way to GPO or Optics-trade.

I just purchased a scope from them and was surprised how quickly I received it. I was hesitant at first but everything was fine
