GPO Range Guide 10x50

Anyone have any experience with the GPO rangeguide 10x50 binos? How do they compare with Swaro or Leica? Thanks

The GPO is an excellent unit. More between the Sig/Vortex/Athlon and the Leica/Swarovski's. I'd say they're similar in quality to the Meopta

Had a chance to do a side by side with the GPO, Sig, Athlon and Meopta the other day and the GPO was brighter in lower light conditions than the Sig and Athlon

Does anyone have any other experience with any versions of the Rangeguides?

I currently use Meostars and a Nitro 1800, but I want a consolidated unit. I have used the Nikon Laserforce and Gen 1 Vortex Fury. To my eyes, the Fury was better than the Laserforce. I’m not sure if something was up with the Nikons. Both lasers left me wanting.

The optics in the GPO are excellent. The rangefinder is a good simple style rangefinder. Not in the category of the Sig, however, optically it blows the Sig away

What non-range finding binoculars would you compare these to?

Would these be in between the Leica Geovid R and HD-R?

I'd say just shy of a Meostar, similar to a Geovid - R

A buddy of mine sent me his GPO 10x50 RangeBino to see what I think of them. I currently own a really good sample of the Fury 5000 AB, and he wanted to see how his compared as I finish out the mule deer season here in TX. My eyeballs see it like this:

Optics-GPO has a yellow tint and appears brighter than the Fury AB, but glassing with them both side by side on tripods tells me they both get you at least to the end of legal shooting light (30 min after sunset). Optics in both units are equally sharp, and they are sharp. No advantage either way in light gathering ability.

Build quality-slight edge to the GPO. They are very smooth to operate, and everything that is supposed to move and adjust does so very smoothly.

Rangefinder-GPO is very fast to get a readout, the Fury is ever so slightly lagging, but is still fast. The Fury has more range than the GPO. I can get ranges pretty consistently on sandhills and tank batteries out to 4000 yds with the Fury, and the GPO will "only" get to 2800, which is plenty far enough. The Fury has been unaffected by cold weather ranging, the GPO has as well for the most part but it's a little more cold natured than the Fury. Both are light years ahead of the Geovid's I've owned in this regard. The Fury doesn't miss a beat at 15* F, which is the coldest temps I've tried them in.

What’s color difference in the side that shows the display compared to the other? I sold my Sigs because of the variance in color between lenses. Hoping to replace them with the Furys, GPOs, or Geovid-are.

I tried other rangefinding binos before, but the weight was more than my binos and rangefinder configuration and i didnt like the added weight. These are around 27 ounces compared to most are 35+.

Will report back once i have them in hand… hoping there isnt a noticeable colour difference between tubes, that had also bugged me with others.

How did you like the GPO 10x40's? Can you compare them to any other RF bino? I'm strongly considering the 10x32 or 10x40.

just got them 4 days ago, been in christmas gauntlet so havent got to test them properly… first impressions are as advertised, crisp optics, not bad tint on the yardage readout tube but it is noticeable in low light… havent had any others to compare with side by side but by recollection the tint is better than most, as is the image. Only reservation so far is Im having a bit of trouble getting the focus to balance out between the yardage readout, and left and right images… im near 20/20 vision and my diopter is maxed out. Will keep playing with it once xmas turbulence peters out and maybe contact GPO if i dont figure it out, will report back. Rangefinder is fast and powerful, ranged out to 2.2km (almost 1.5mi) on plain snow quickly playing with them. Auto brightness adjust on the display is pretty slick too. Just need to get focus sorted.

I recently got the 8x40 rangeguides. They are my first pair of rf binos and nicest set of binos I've got. Haven't tested much with them but I will say the rf comes back quick, the menu is fairly simple, I like the objective covers, and they feel good in hand. Nice and lightweight forsure.
Tested next to my cronus g2 10x42's I'd say they seem to be clearer and brighter. I think they will be a great bino for me.

Thanks for your update. I have the sig kilo 3000bdx which is commonly known for its amazing RF, but leaves much to be desired optically. I find both true. The applied ballistics is a feature that I have really enjoyed and would like to keep but think I could go back to the dope card in order to have better optics. For reference my baseline comparison optic is a vortex HD viper 10x42. KY_coop mentioned that the GPO seem brighter and more crisp than his cronus g2. I havent looked through a set of cronus binos but they are the $500 flavor bino, just like the viper. About a year ago, I did purchase the leica geovid pro 10x32 and had high expectations. I put it through the ringer for about a week and although it was nice, it wasnt $3k nice, at least not to me so it went back.
The GPO seems to have alot of promise and I hope you get your diopter issue resolved.
