GPO Optics? Good/Bad or Ugly?

I recently seen a YouTube review on a GPO centuri rifle scope and it had a good review. I’ve never heard of this company but a quick search on their site makes it sound like it’s mostly German parts and German/Japanese glass. They have some nice looking options but I have questions. I did send them an email to see where each line is made as it did say they source some stuff through China and Phillipines like most other companies. Wondering if anyone has used one and tested its durability? They remind me of Arken & Maven but which one is it? lol. Arken is ok but really suffers at high magnification levels and gets sales off the Japanese glass at low price points.. Maven is actually good and has been tested for its durability. Idk how long they’ve been around but the warranty sounds pretty dang good (I also asked if the electronics are covered and if warranty is transferable or not). Anyone here tested one out or have any feedback on them? I’d love to know if they have been drop tested but I doubt it.

I have the 8x32 passion ed—I think that’s the name. They’ve been great for me. But no scopes, and I don’t have experience with alpha glass or any other real great comparisons.

I have a GPO Passion 3x in 4-12x40.
It rode a 280 a-bolt medallion a few years and is now on a TC 6.5 Creed with 16.5 inch barrel. That Creed has rode in piles of stuff in the back floorboard of my truck for 4 months. Frequently stirred and stepped on by people and dogs.
I had an unexpected chance for a late sit on December 30th and no time to go home for gear.
The cheap truck living Sightron Blue Sky 8x30 binocs and GPO scope on cheap TC rifle worked well and put down a mature buck. Shot placement was exactly where I intended it.

Ill dissent. IMO it's just another in a long line of influencer/media/vendor hyped brands that are a fancy name slapped on a Chinese (or phillipines) optic that was made in probably the same factory as Maven/Arken/Tract/Athlon/Hawke/Burris/Vortex/etc. Sure a couple may be made in Japan, who cares. LOW makes good scopes and bad ones. Plus they use "German" in their name, just to generally suggest that their product is associated with euro alpha glass mfgs. Misleading, at best.

As for function, its impossible for me to believe that their scopes would be durable broadly and consistently. Maybe Im just a negative guy, but thats just me and I wouldnt throw money at it. Been there and done that. YMMV. If I wanted a cheap scope I would buy vortex, at least when it fails the company will still be around to warranty it.
