It will go to paying down my student loans, should have them wrapped up in a few months and another check would help with that.
Been trying to pay as much as I can on those too. Cant say I have been terribly mad about the interest forbearance for the last couple of months. Took about a grand off what I owe interest free.

Just bought a house and my god washer/dryer sets are expensive! So, mine is most likely going towards that.
When my wife and I got married there was a couple that was moving and needed their washer and dryer gone. I called them and they said if I came and got them I could have them. My buddy and I packed them out to my pickup, gave them 40 bucks and drove away. They were two years old at that time. Got so lucky on that one.

I'll deposit it and then send it via ACH to my mothers checking account. She retired from Health Midwest Last year after 51 years of service because they would not giver her a 10 min bathroom break during her 12 hour night shift. She then went to work for the company that has the contract for food service at the local grade school where she worked for 6 months before being laid off due to covid. She filed for state and PUA unemployment and has been denied. She appealed and lost. Meanwhile my brothers new wifes son is 34, lives in his grandparents basement, has NEVER had a job, and is collecting $920 a week!

Damn. Is she legally entitled to a 15 min break every 4 hours?

She ran the front desk Mother/Baby unit. Visitors have to be buzzed in and out so she could not leave her post without someone relieving her. The hospital is so cheap they run short staffed and there was never anyone to relieve her. Her supervisor would relieve her for lunch but nothing else. Mom has a cardiovascular issue in her lower legs that requires her to wear special support leg/foot sleeves and get up and walk around every couple of hours. She's had 2 surgeries and they still said too bad. 30 years as a nurse 10 as a scrub tech and 11 at the front desk. You'd think they'd have a little compassion for a 72 year old woman who's worked for the same hospital group for over half a century. Health Midwest sucks.

anyone in accounting on here? we had a kid since the first round of checks so I'm wondering how we'd go about getting the extra $ for a new dependent and how we would notify them.

edit. nvm learned it will come as a tax credit when i do 2020 taxes next year.
