Got $5k to spend on myself - what should I do?

Donate to a good cause > tax write off.
That would cover the last of my student loan.
I'll send you my Venmo. :D

You're financial solid so pick something off your bucket list and have fun.

I’m pretty traditional, but I think the wooden RokStok looks great.

If you don’t like that, get a Sako, suppressor, and nice optic.

But, at my age, I would put it towards a course or starting a new hobby where I might meet interesting people.

This really is one of the best looking RSS's I've seen on here. I wonder if there's someone around who could make a leather suppressor cover out of the one that's on there...

I remember someone asked this question in the past and @Swamp Fox said something to the affected of;

"Spend $2k on women and the rest on Binocular harnesses."

Still member laughing my ass off at that.

LOL ... I'm just glad I can contribute something useful around here every once in a while ...

@TXHunt had $5-6000 to go toward a hunt and was looking for ideas a while back.

My actual advice (still true today, including inflation adjustments) was this:

I'd spend $2000 on some type of doctor-recommended conditioning program and I'd blow the rest on women and binocular harnesses ...

Apparently a lot of people felt this was helpful ... LOL

Here's the thread:

$5k - $6k for a hunt….where would you go, what would you hunt?

Personally, I would put $4,000 towards debts - student loans and credit cards for me. Then I would use the other $1000 for a DIY fall hunt and bring your wife along. Stay a night in a hotel on the way home and get some good food.

If no debts and everything else is squared away then I would put that towards a hunt for an animal you havent hunted before. Sounds like you are out west, so maybe a whitetail hunt.
