Has anyone used both these tents for hunting.

A couple things I am concerned about

Durston
- diagonal design so setting up in a narrow spot could be harder

Gossamer gear
- single wall so potentially more condensation
- silnylon so potentially more stretch

I have the One and it is very stretchy, every morning there is a lot of sag and the gullies loosen. I have a lot of nights in it in mild weather but no high wind, rain or snow. I am also 6’2” and seem to be on the upper threshold of what fits inside, my toes or head rub on the ends of the tent.

I got it for $40 and that’s why I currently have it. I love the layout, design and packability but the silnylon is the Achilles heel of the One. If I were to buy new I would go with the Durston or the six moon designs for the silpoly. I have not put my hands on either but have heard second hand that both are great.

You might look at the Durston X Dome 1+. Freestanding double wall and only weights 35 oz. They have a waiting list for it for the second run.
